YES! I have finally returned from my long and tiring college hunt... It was fun, I gotta say, looking at all the schools and such. Some of them had the most beautiful campus I have ever seen, while others pale in comparison. I'm gonna try my best to recall everything about each college/university, give you the data they gave me, and, of course, my own personal opinions! So watch out!

Chronologically ordered:

1. Cornell University (ACT: 28 - 32)

My first visit to an Ivy League school! XD It seriously beats Notre Dame's campus on the beauty part. The school is located on top of a mountain, meaning seriously great views. We drove through steep mountain roads, under the trees and cliffs, hoping not to drive off the road into a ditch somewhere xD;; After getting lost serveral times (thanks to some incompetent cop who led up follow some inaccurate detour signs) we finally reached central campus, about 1 hour late for the tour and the information session. Since Cornell was more of a Fine Arts school (meaning no economic or finance classes!!11), we just decided to drive around the campus and take pictures.

^ One of the main buildings

^ This reminds me of the University of Toronto... Shilin! XD

^ The student dorms! Looks like the ones at Wellesley.

2. Williams College (29 - 33) and Amherst College (28 - 33)

Since they are only 30 minutes apart, we saw them on the same day, Williams first. These are both liberal arts colleges and has almost no core curriculum. They are also rivals of eachother, which is pretty funny xD

Williams was better of the two, mainly because of the Tutorial program they have. Basically a Tutorial is where there's 2 students and a professor meet once a week. One student is assigned to write something for one week, then e-mail it to the other student so they can write up a critique. At the class meeting the first student presents his/her paper, the second student and the prof tears it apart/crit it, the first student defends her/his point, and such. The next week it's switched around and the second student writes a paper and so on. This course is pretty amazing for increasing writing and presentation skills quickly within 1-2 years. Although the pressure can be rather immense, atleast it is better than embarrassing youself in front of one student rather than 14. And since I pratically write like an elementary student and have no public speaking/debating skills, it's almost the perfect class.

The only drawback I have about Williams is that it is currently going through constuction, which will last all four years I'm there (if I go). I HATE CONSTRUCTION.

^ The 'Eye' sculpture in williams... the pupils are supose to light up at night O_o;;

^ Our tour guide was amazing <3 That's taken in the college town... forgot what that white building was...

^ The eating area in the science building.

Amherst was pretty much the same as Williams, minus the Tutorial program and plus a even more free core curriculum. The one part I REALLY liked about Amherst was its field. There's a memorial center on top of a hill, looking over all the sports fields, forests, and moutains off in the distance, which reminded me a lot of Cornell.

^ That would be fun to sled down in winter time!

^ One of the chapel tower tips.... Out of all the chapels I've seen, the best is still at Notre Dame <3

^ The steps were REALLY steep here. In the distance you can see some moutains and such~

3. Harvard University (31 - 34)

Yea, duh. No college visit can be complete without visiting the FORMER #1 school in the world! The glorious Harvard University... <333

Uh, yea, too bad I didn't get to do a tour and whatnot. It was Saturday when we got there and there was a Festival to distract us, so it was all good. We walked through the dorm quads a bit, looked at statues and such. It's not like I can get into Harvard anyways (but I am forcing Lindsey and Peter, yes you Peter, to go there with me for grad school! >D). We also toured the college town a bit. Behind University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, it has one of the cutest and nicest college towns I've ever been too. (Williams and Amherst had like.. a street with some random stores on it.) So.. here's pictures of the fair? xD;;;

^ One of the Harvard Dorms

^ That gate is SEXYYYYY

^ I donno what that building is.... but there's two groups of people shaking their hands at the same time!!

^ HBS (Harvard Business) on the other side... with a random lady xD

^ Don't ask me why or what or who.

^ It's one of those... boat... people.. things..!

^ That little blonde kid is so cute <3

^ Those hips don't lie!

^ Metallic people!! There were four of them here and another one in the college town

^ They are so cute. There were so many people there that day...

4. Wellesley College (29 - 31) and Yale University

TIME FOR MY FAVORITE SCHOOL!!!! Wellesley~~ <333 I didn't know it was a woman's only school until I visited and was like "There's like.. no guys here... O_o?" The whole female only thing clicked with me from the beginning because I've always wanted to see what it was in a world without guys xD I gotta say, it was a LOT quieter than other colleges I've visited~ The campus itself was very traditional with a lot of trees and grass (like Cornell and Notre Dame). It was only about an hour away from Harvard (<333) and pretty close to Boston too, which is GREAT for internships opportunities. The school itself offered a very solid Economics program, and with alumi like Hilary Cliton, it's a very great school that's not an Ivy League. But sadly, I did not have time to take many pictures *too busy imagining myself there as a student. wtf.* But that's just more reasons for me to apply there, get admited (hopefully) and take pictures! XD

^ One of the dorm quads.... simply beautiful.

Next was Yale. And trust me, it is not as great as Gilmore Girls portray it. It's pratically in this small city/town/neiborhood that is New Haven. Not the best place to be. The campus itself was so mixed in with the rest of the town, there was traffic streets and such in the campus grounds! It was loud, and dirty, and blah. I hated it.

^ Yale Law School

^ Inside one of the libraries.

5. Princeton University (30 - 34)

Here it is. The current number one school in the world. And who got in? Perfect Kathy, but that pathetic rant is saved for another day... anyways.

Princeton... nothing really hit me when I visited. Unlike Harvard and Wellesley, where the second I stepped on the campus I knew I wanted to go there, I was ambivalent about Princeton. I didn't hate it like I did Yale, but... I donno. I felt like the campus was too small, and all the buildings were so close with eachother and such.

The one thing that makes Princeton really desired is it's financial aid program. It meets need-based financial aids for 100% of the students who have determined to have the need. About 50% of the undergrad students apply and receive financial aid. And with the tuition about $33,000, an average of $29,443 given in aid is enough to make any parent's mouth water. Not only that, Princedon doesn't give out loans; They give out grants. All parents who are reading this word should have been shocked outta their chair. Loans you have to pay back along with interest, Grants are FREE MONEY. But with all things good, there's a downside. Princeton's admission rate is about less than 10%.

^ Student Center

^My mom took this when I was spacing off =_=;;

^ Needed a rest after walking all day xD;;

^ Chapel

^ Donno what it is, but I liked the building.

^ Sexy walkway alert!

6. Columbia University (28 - 33)

Not much to say... It was a college town inside NYC. It was quieter than I thought it would be, but I just didn't like the Campus. They have a good Economics program though.

^ What is Ala Mater? (sp?) This is the old library, now the admissions office because the books almost sunk the library. Not kidding O_O;

My List (if I can get into them xD):
1. Harvard
2. Wellesley
3. Williams
4. Princeton
5. Columbia
6. Amherst
7. Cornell
8. Yale

Extras!

Metropolitan Art Museum in NY

^ ANYONE KNOWS WHAT THIS PAINTING IS CALLED?? I WANT A PRINT OF IT <3

^ When you guys visit, you HAVE to see this 360 degree painting room. It's in the American Wing. The perspective and painting details are simply astonishing.

^ I got bored. And YES THAT IS MY BELOVED HARVARD SWEATSHIRT <3333

^ AHAHAHAHAHAHA. *shot* I blame Lindsey.

NYC Time Square

^ WE SAW THE NAKED COWBOY! He posed for us xD; I think that's his girlfriend/wife....

^ I finally got to eat! XD The fried thingie on my plate was too good for words <3
